These are our four foundational council agreements:
1. Start with a short silent period before speaking
2. Everyone given equal uninterrupted time to speak in 3 minute speaking rotations.
3. Division into groups of 12 or less council speakers.
4. Decisions and actions based on unanimous agreement.
A permaculture fruit and vegetable orchard plus a few small private shelters and community shelters are situated on one acre of land at 800 feet elevation. Another wild two acres nearby at 5000 feet elevation have recently been added for various purposes like growing mainland fruits, additional shelters, underground meditation, fasting, etc.
We are looking to attract and create a small core group of stable, self-reliant, charismatic, grounded, country farmer style spiritual pioneers as a supportive role model or example that grows and divides like a cell into supportive splinter pods or families. We have a state non profit status, and when more are involved will move on to form a federal 502c3 non profit land trust. Our simple but fair and powerful unique council format guarantees freedom from control, co-dependency, and domination for all those ready and responsible enough to get seriously involved. earth releaf rant posted march 21 2014: aloha, at this time i am somewhat alone in attempting to start an intentional community and promote various peaceful solutions thru a non profit org..... me main goal in life/death at this time is to form a federal 501c3 non profit land trust.... to show, and offer others a better example of social cooperation and natural sustainable lifestyle.... i like to move slow in gettng to know people these days, so ideally i prefer we talk on the net or phone for awhile, and/or the first visit is a short one, an hour or two, assuming you might be on the big island to visit various other intentional communities and/or for various other reasons.....if i feel we have enough in common, and a sense of good trust has developed thru long distance communications, i may be open to a longer initial visit.....i am not looking for workers, or casual tourist type visitors, but more those interested in long term land trust partnership at this time.... i am looking for partners who have some passion for the ideals i talk about and/or hint of on the earth releaf website....it is best to look over carefully the "natural health factors" and "can o worms" links, at the top of the earth releaf homepage, to get a better idea of what the earth releaf project is attempting to explore and create.... this experiment in evolved natural sustainable living, and/or recreating the tribal family based in decentralized consensus decision making will require some effort, passion, and spiritual integrity to achieve.....i have a long ways to go, but i feel i do have a few valuable clues to add to the mix, and a pretty good land base to ground on, (till a more vog free zone can be established)......i also have some unique positive global peace ideas i want to promote and act on thru a non profit org. over the years many have come here interested and left shortly, or longly, or bought land next to me here, because they found they were not as interested in organized consensus action and/or forest, as they might have thought initially...yet much has been gained and learned thru trial and error process.....an above average neighborhood is established around me, i feel blessed...but i want to keep refining things always.... in general mostly what i am learning about many visitors coming here over the years, is that talking about some higher natural living ideals is much easier than acting them out long term..... very few people are very seriously interested in acting out the long term building of trust and organization, thru the consensus decision making process, necessary to reach the higher degrees of sustainable natural living and wellness... many people seem to want to live more natural, sustainable, socially cooperative, and healthy, but most of us are not too well trained yet in consensus cooperation, so it can be challenging to act it out very far as a team, before getting sidetracked and/or losing interest....the consensus process, takes lots of time, and patience, to build enough trust in friendship and/or partnership.... it is easy for some people to get distracted surrounded by more traditional consumerism lifestyles that focus on money as the main means to survival....here at earth releaf one goal is to focus on sustainable living with nature as the main means of survival, rather than money.....this can appear quite challenging for some people, but need not be too threatening, with modern day green technologies around to make it easier.... as much as i explore beyond the earth based time and space dimension, i have to admit that i still am mainly an earth being for now.....i do intuitively feel the clock ticking on various high risks, that us huWoMans are taking with the planet and each other.... in this life/death i am trying to give a brief outline of some possible choices or actions that might be worth experimenting with, in small groups, for a more happy, healthy, holy life/death..... it seems to me that only thru a decentralized consensus group effort will some of these higher ideals ever reach lift off potential.... i am not so concerned about ones experience or current degree of skill with these lifestyle concepts and ideals, as i am about the amount of passion and integrity one might have to pursue/experiment/explore them.....of course experience helps..... combining many high ideals into one wholistic package really amounts to me painting meself into a corner for some time now....trying to reach consensus agreements on various multiple ideals, or experiments, such as raw food vegan diet (i am not 100% raw yet, tho getting closer as time goes by), trying to live more sustainable each year, decentralized consensus decision making process, etc. in general still seem to be too much to ask of almost everyone these days... good to keep in mind, no one is at the same degree, of achieving all the various higher degrees of natural survival health factors (including me)... can we all move at various rates toward our spiritual evolution without co-dependancies, or hierarchical pecking orders creeping in????....i think/feel yes.... i do believe there may be evolving or already existing a needle or two in the haystack that i/we might find before death....perhaps you, or a friend of yours might be
